Emerita Phytoestrogen Body Cream Review

Produced by Emerita, Phytoestrogen Body Cream is our next product up for review. On their website, it is clear that this company values women’s health and is passionate about providing women with products that can support them on their wellness journey. However, aside from this information, there is not much information on what makes their phytoestrogen cream effective, or the science behind their choice of ingredients. We were also unable to decipher from their website if their products are subject to third-party testing or if they manufacture their products in a facility that follows strict cGMP guidelines. We believe that it is important to understand the manufacturing and testing processes in order to make informed purchasing decisions, especially when it comes to health.

With a little more digging, we managed to uncover that Emerita (and Life-flo) is one of a variety of brands owned by Nutraceutical. In and of itself, this is not necessarily something to be concerned about, but it should be more transparent on Emerita’s website, and even with this discovery, the testing and manufacturing process is still not clear. Having said this, customer reviews of Emerita’s phytoestrogen formulation appear to be mainly positive, claiming that it helped with mood swings, hot flashes, and smoothing skin. With that in mind, we had to really rely on the formula itself when reviewing this product. Continue reading to see what we discovered.

Is Emerita Phytoestrogen Body Cream Effective?

This product checks a few important boxes: it is formulated using naturally derived phytoestrogens, is free from parabens and artificial fragrances, and it is cruelty-free. To answer the essential question about whether the formula is actually effective, now we turn to the ingredients themselves. We were hopeful, seeing as the manufacturers included plant-based ingredients, however, we were concerned that it only contains one of our recommended key ingredients. We wanted to see if they had any information on their website to support their choice of ingredients, but no scientific studies were mentioned, nor was the benefit of individual ingredients. We believe that complete transparency is a key factor when considering a supplement, so we were left disappointed when we could not find sufficient information. Nevertheless, we continued investigating.

To their credit, Emerita does include Clover Flower Extract, one of the ingredients from our key list in their formula. Clover Flower is a powerful plant that has been clinically proven to have estrogen-balancing properties. Additionally, Clover Flower can be beneficial for inhibiting the breakdown of bone mass, which can be attributed to low estrogen levels. Furthermore, research has indicated that Clover Flower can help to improve other menopausal symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, and vaginal dryness. Although this is only one key ingredient, we are glad they chose it due to its array of benefits for women suffering from an estrogen imbalance.

In addition to Clover Flower, the formula contains two other herbal extracts that we don’t see as being especially effective. Nevertheless, they may have some benefits. Black Cohosh, a member of the buttercup family, has been used to support women during menopause and may help ease hot flashes and night sweats. Additionally, the Emerita phytoestrogen cream formula contains Panax Ginseng root, also known as Korean Ginseng. This is an interesting choice since Panax Ginseng does not possess phytoestrogen-like properties so at first glance it seems out of place in a phytoestrogen cream. It is believed to have other health benefits, and could potentially help increase sexual arousal, an issue that is commonly experienced by women going through menopause. However, without complete transparency from Emerita on their ingredients, or sufficient clinical studies, it is difficult to ascertain if this is an effective addition to their formula.

In addition to analyzing the active ingredients, it’s always important to look at the inactive ingredients. Long lists of inactive ingredients tend to have more misunderstood or harmful substances listed. Thankfully, Emerita Phytoestrogen Body Cream is made without any parabens, artificial colors, or artificial fragrances.

While Emerita does use only plant-derived phytoestrogens, and includes Clover Flower, it is missing too many ingredients from our must-have list to conclusively determine that the product will be effective. Fortunately, we were able to find some reviews from external sources to give us deeper insight into their product. Many customers were over the moon that it helped them manage their estrogen levels. On the other hand, there were many customers who did not notice any improvement at all. Of course, it is only to be expected that results can vary between individuals.

Is Emerita Phytoestrogen Body Cream Safe?

The company does not mention any negative side effects of taking this product. However, there is no clarity about whether this product is manufactured following strict cGMP guidelines, or if it undergoes rigorous third-party testing, which are usually the strongest indicators of a product’s safety levels. They do boast a 60-day 100% money-back guarantee, which is impressive and does show that they back the effectiveness of their product.

As with any new supplement or diet introduced into your daily life, we always advise talking to your healthcare professional about possible contraindications of any pre-existing medical conditions or medications that you are taking. You also should not be using this product if you might be pregnant, may become pregnant, or nursing. Wellness products work differently for everyone and the effects vary between individuals, so it is always a good idea to run any health changes by a professional.

Summary

Finding a cream to help balance estrogen levels without synthetic estrogen is difficult, so we were excited when we saw that Emerita only uses phytoestrogens in their Phytoestrogen Body Cream. However, due to the lack of ingredients that have been clinically proven to support estrogen regulation, we can’t conclusively say that this is an effective product. On the other hand, many of the reviews we read were enthusiastic that they persuaded us that it might be a quality product worth investing in.

Another factor that ultimately gave us reason to be wary is the lack of transparency from the company and its manufacturing process. There is no mention of following cGMP guidelines or third-party testing. They do however offer a 60-day money-back guarantee, which instills some confidence in the effectiveness of the cream. All of these reasons explain why we placed Emerita Phytoestrogen Body Cream in our #3 spot.
